˙ūPolar Bears And Global Warming Problems

from: Ancient Hippy

Global warming is happening quickly and the battle rages on for the reasons for it. Whether the cause is natural or man made, there are species of animals that are in danger of becoming extinct if something isn t done soon. One of the species of animals that are at great risk is the apex predator of the north, the polar bear. Global warming is easiest to see where extreme temperatures are found such as the ice caps of the north and south. The temperatures at these locations are warming pretty quickly. The sea ice that the bears depend on is forming later while they are also melting earlier than normal. This equates to the bears having less time to hunt which means that the population of bears is declining.

Polar bears and global warming problems are attached because global warming is directly affecting them. Polar bears and global warming may be one of the biggest avoidable tragedies to hit the planet in a long time. If the polar bears die off then the balance of the northern ecosystem will be thrown into chaos. The implications for humans can be seen in the lives of the polar bears today. Nobody knows what will happen for sure but the results will bring consequences that may endanger the lives of millions of people around the world.

Studying Polar Bears And Global Warming

Scientists have been studying the relationship of polar bears and global warming for the past few years. What has become evident is the fact that the earth is warming and no one knows how much it will warm. Using calculations to apply the warming at the poles to other areas of the world, scientists believe that the planet will change for the worst and that the world is very close to the point of no return. If something isn t done now, the implications will be far reaching to the point that more of the planet will become not livable by humans. Studying polar bears and global warming suggests that like the polar bear, finding a long lasting food source for all of the people might become impossible.

Lastly, if areas known for producing a lot of the world s grains and vegetables become hot and dry, people will begin to starve to death in a wave so large that all of the past famines combined would look small in comparison. Polar bears and global warming are telling people that a change needs to happen now before people are next on the list of extinctions.
